GRADE 8 St. Joseph Student Guidelines

  I expect to be respected as a person, a child of God. If, for any reason, I feel that I have not been afforded such dignity by the teachers (leaders), I will bring it to the teachers’ (leaders) attention after class or event. Also, I will give my teachers (leaders) the respect and attention he/she deserves for the short period of time I am in class or on retreat.
  
  Christ invites us to a sacred meal with him each week especially as I prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. I will act reverently (respectful of the priest and parishioners around you) by not chewing gum, not eating candy/food, not wearing hats, not using electronic devices such as cell phones, etc. in church, and I will participate in the prayers while at Mass.
  
  I will come to class/retreat not chewing gum, not eating candy/food, not wearing hats, not using electronic devices such as cell phones, etc., nor bringing items to class/retreats which are not necessary for the class/retreats.
  
  I understand that I have the following requirements to complete this year.
  Attending Confirmation classes during school. Any missed classed the work would need to be made up.
  Weekly Mass attendance.
  Making sure the following is completed by the due dates.
  10/3/24 Attending Zoom Parent/Students meeting
  10/15/24 Guidelines are due.
  10/22/24 Sign up for two group service projects.
  10/31/24 Sponsor info due.
  11/15/24 Sponsor certificate due.
  1/5/25 Confirmation Gown due.
  1/5/25 Confirmation Name due.
  Attending Sponsor/Candidate Praise & Worship Night
  Attending Retreat.
  Attending Confirmation practice.
  
  St. Joseph Student Guidelines are due 10/15/24
